In his present position, he serves as the head football coach at Liberty University. The University of Kansas hired Gill as its head coach in 2010, and he previously served as the head coach at the University of Buffalo. He was one of just 11 black head coaches in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision at the time of his appointment.
